Mixteco Boy short film and feature script were selected to the prestigious Oaxaca Film Festival October 4-11, 2019. Over 5,000 films and scripts were submitted to the festival and less than 5% were selected. The film is about a Mixteco boy who dreams to be like his fútbol hero, Chicharito, and overcomes the forces of prejudice and poverty to become a soccer sensation and heal a divided community. Legendary Mexican actor Fernando Allende and his son Adán Allende star in the film shot in Oxnard, California.
